Two Day Workshop on Digital Wellbeing & Inclusion (28th April – 29th April, 2025)

The two-day workshop on the theme "Digital Wellbeing and Inclusion," is organized by Department of Psychology, University of Kashmir under the auspices of the European Commission-sponsored project, "Digital Transformation for Neuro-Diversity Inclusion in Africa and Asia (AAN-DI)" & is designed to bring together key stakeholders to collaboratively advance the project's mission of creating more neuro-inclusive digital environments across diverse communities in Africa and Asia.
The workshop serves several critical objectives. The first technical session will involve introduction to the AAN-DI project, outlining its vision, goals, and work packages. Apart from this there will be a brainstorming session dedicated to the collaborative development of a foundational Baseline Survey for Neurodiversity Assessment – a crucial tool for understanding the landscape within our target regions. Participants will also gain valuable knowledge about established Neurodiversity Assessment Tools currently utilized in research, enhancing methodological understanding. Some sessions aim to update essential knowledge and practical skills concerning Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), ensuring a shared, current understanding relevant to the project's focus.
Furthermore, the workshop emphasizes practical application. Sessions will explore the principles of objective content development, equipping participants to create impactful resources. A significant hands-on activity will be the collective refinement of the "Digital Wellbeing & Inclusion" Training of the Trainer (TOT) Module for Digital Wellbeing & Inclusion, ensuring its relevance, clarity, and effectiveness for future dissemination.
From a broader perspective, this workshop aims to build capacity, foster synergistic collaboration among participants, refine essential project tools and resources, and solidify the groundwork necessary for promoting digital wellbeing and meaningful inclusion for neurodivergent individuals through the project AAN-DI initiative.
